"I CAN BE ANYTHING" CHILDREN'S BOOK
In the Spring of 2015, I took the class GD300 (Graphic Design II) in order to complete my minor in Graphic Design. This particular project required students to design a document that focuses on a stereotype or the concept of myth/reality while keeping the audience in mind. I decided to work around the idea of gender stereotypes as it relates to career choices. I originally wanted to design for an adult audience (making cards or stickers that could be left in public places as subtle encouragement to passersby) but this eventually evolved into something much different--a children's book that teaches young readers that they can become whoever they want to.
